About Kayla

Kayla Steinbruckner is a photographer based in Melbourne, VIC.

 

She is currently a third year student, studying a Bachelor of Arts (Photography) set to graduate in December, 2023. She will then further her studies by doing Honours in 2024. 

 

She has worked for groups/venues such as Visit Victoria, Melbourne Fashion Week, Ngali Miya,  Crystalistic, Lia Makea Jewellery, Kindred Bandroom, Peach Fuzz, LeadBeater, Drewayzee and RRR Radio station to shoot images.

Her work specifies in live music, fashion, portraiture and art based practices. Her practice looks into the beauty of movement, light and emotion, looking at how emotion and image can vacillate between one another to convey a story. Her work explores the meaning of vulnerability and how the adolescent experience can be explored through image and create narratives for the viewer to interpret.
